Healthy Ingredients To Healthy Skin For Everyone

Eating foods that are processed and contain large amounts of sugars doesn’t just take a toll on your waistline it also affects the appearance of your skin as well. Eating foods with healthy ingredients can dramatically improve your complexion and help in the fight against premature ageing.

Healthy Ingredients:

Water:
One of the most important healthy ingredients for your skin is water. Water flushes out any nasty toxins from your body and supplies your cells with nutrients that help keep your body operating at a high level. Water also keeps your skin cells plump which makes your skin look firmer and younger. Make sure that you are drinking at least 2 liters of water every day.

Carrots:
Carrots are not only good for your general health but they are an excellent source for your eyes, digestive system, teeth and skin. They are rich in beta carotene which is an antioxidant; this helps to keep your skin healthy and provides it with a radiant glow. Carrots are perfect if you suffer from sudden flare-ups on your skin, as they help with the over production of cells in the outer layer of your skin.

Kale:
Kale is a dark green vegetable and contains beta-carotene and lutein which help improve your skins firmness and elasticity. Kale also contains a large amount of Vitamin C which can reduce free radical damage; this happens if you spend too much time in the sun. The free radicals can attack the fibers in your skin which help to support elastin and collagen.

Almonds:
Almonds are packed full of Vitamin E which acts as an antioxidant and helps protect your skin from UV rays. Almonds nourish your skin leaving it smooth and radiant. They can also help in the protection against free radicals that damage your skin cells. As almonds are extremely calorie dense so only eat them in moderation, 8 per day is fine.

Flaxseeds:
Flaxseeds contain omega 3 fatty acids which can be extremely beneficial for your skin as they have anti-inflammatory effects which are perfect if you suffer from acne, psoriasis and eczema. If your skin is dry then flaxseeds can also be helpful in combatting this by providing better hydration directly to your skin.
